ISIS subjected to fashion

A rare touch of class comes to ISIS nightclub tonight (15 March) courtesy of The University of Nottingham Students’ Union’s Fashion Society. The Society is hosting “Subjected to Fashion” in aid of the charity Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Fashion Society President Victoria Adams told Impact that their “aim is to promote Nottingham’s up and coming designers and local boutiques in a bid to raise awareness – particularly that of students – of the less well-known areas of Nottingham that are away from the high street shopping norm.”

The show will feature contributions from stores including Plank, Projects, Birdcage, Joy, and Oxfam’s Bridlesmith Gate branch, and will climax with a lingerie catwalk in conjunction with Siren Lingerie, who stock designer brands such as Elle McPherson and La Perla. Individual designers include Ms Adams herself and Precious, a Nigerian woman who “mixes her African roots with a Western sense of style.”

Students from the University of Nottingham will be modelling these items, and Ms Adams anticipates that more than 2,500 guests will attend.
