A man pushing his child in a pushchair along Station Street in Nottingham has been, robbed, threatened with a hypodermic needle and assaulted. The 21-year-old victim, concerned for the safety of his child, went with the men as they forced him down the slope and demanded his property.
One of the attackers held a hypodermic needle up to his face and demanded the man give them money or he would stab him in the eye with the needle. The suspects then left the man and his child, who had slept through the whole incident, walking down the slope into the car park.
The victim was not hurt in the incident, which was around 7.45pm on Friday, November 24, but he was left deeply shocked. Detective Sergeant Jane Harston, of the City Robbery Team, said: “We believe this was an isolated robbery but added that “The consequences could have been a lot more serious.”
