Impact has been produced as the official magazine for students at The University of Nottingham for a number of years, although it was formerly a newspaper with the same title. Impact is operated as a ‘Student-Run Service’ and as such the magazine and this website are produced entirely by student volunteers, using funding from University of Nottingham’s Students’ Union.
The current format of the publication is a monthly, glossy magazine that can be picked up free from distribution boxes across Nottingham campuses. Impact produces around seven issues per academic year. Impact has also maintained an online presence at [www.impactnottingham.com] since Wednesday 8 January 2006. Both magazine and website are run on a voluntary basis using funds from the Students’ Union.
Impact has a staff of thirty or so student editors which contribute some of their spare time towards producing the magazine. Previous Editors and Editor-In-Chiefs include:
Ceri Gorton: 2003-4
Chris Regan: 2004-5
Huw Green: 2005-6
Daniel Brenikov: 2006-8
Alice Hutton: 2008
