A question time will be taking place tonight in Lenton Methodist Church tonight to discuss issues affecting students and residents in the local community.
Local MP, Lilian Greenwood, will be sitting on a panel alongside a member of the Nottinghamshire Police force, community group leaders and representatives from the University of Nottingham.
The panel is likely to answer questions on issues including parking permits, the impact of the newly elected Police and Crime Commissioner and on the role of community projects such as the Crocus Cafe in Lenton.
The questions brought to the panel contribute to an on-going debate about the relations of student residents with established residents and with the council.
Student panellist James Potts, told Impact that he hopes “it’ll be a good chance to view some of the differing opinions that exist within Lenton. Hopefully we as students can work with local residents in order to create a more coherent community”
