Impact on the Campaign Trail: Day 2

Despite the lack of campaigners outside Hallward Library today, Impact News spoke Joe Caunce, who is running for activities officer.

Joe told Impact : “I went out campaigning last night and that went really well. No one’s really started campaigning on campus yet. I think everyone’s waiting for someone else to start before they do”.

Caunce’s Facebook was updated with photos of his campaign last night, including a photo of artist Fuse ODG supporting Caunce.

One presidential candidate, Callum Morris, posted this photo on instagram, suggesting that we will be seeing him campaigning on campus very soon – most likely with a Despicable Me theme.

Chelsea Wright – a Postgraduate Officer candidate – also said she would be bringing her campaign to campus on her twitter.

Today Sam Todd, who was running for Mature Students Officer, withdrew from the election race. This brings the current number of withdrawals to 8 candidates.
