BREAKING NEWS: Students successfully cast votes for SU Elections before voting opens

URN discovered and reported that students at the University of Nottingham have been able to vote for their preferred candidates in the Student Elections of 2016 despite voting not opening until March 4th.

However, according to SU Activities Officer Rob Jennings, the reason that students were able to vote is because the system is undergoing testing and any votes that were cast before voting officially opens don’t count.

Voting was accessed through: https://webapps.nottingham.ac.uk/su/auth

Campaigning officially begins on 2nd March and voting opens at 9am on Friday 4th.
