Writing a new article

To write a new article, go to the Dashboard (the page you first see when you login) and click ‘New Post’ at the top or ‘Add New’ on the left:

You should then see the following screen:

Let’s assume that we’ve got our article in a Word document. The first thing we need to do is click the HTML tab; this ensures that when we paste the contents of our Word document, all of the text comes out clean.

Now we can copy the text from our Word document (or any other program) and paste it into the main text area. Give the article a title in the field above too. Don’t forget to add the author’s name in at the bottom too. You should end up with something like this:

Now look over at the Categories section. Scroll down the list and select the category you wish to publish the article under. Each section has a category and some have sub-categories too. Remember that if you select a sub-category to also select its parent category:

For now, that’s it. There are plenty of other options, but this is the minimum you need to do to simply submit an article for review. Click ‘Submit for Review’ to insert the article into the system:
