Preview: Visions Festival – 10 August 2013

Visions is a brand new collaborative festival presented by Bird On The Wire, SEXBEAT and Rockfeedback. Three unique venues surrounding London Fields will play host to over 20 acts, including Fucked Up, Iceage, Public Service Broadcasting, Spectrals, !!! (Chk Chk Chk) and Cloud Nothings.

With a superb line-up in three splendid East London venues, this really isn’t a day to miss. Having so much potential in only its first year, who knows how far this festival could go in the years to come?

Here are 5 acts that you cannot afford to miss:

1. Iceage (19.10 @ Netil House)

Big favourites here at Impact, these Danish punks put on a show and a half. With two excellent albums under their belt and a multitude of highly acclaimed live shows, they will be one of the stars of the day.

2. The Wytches (15.10 @ Netil House)

These off-kilter garage-rockers are making a bit of a name for themselves at the moment. See them here before they get very, very big.

3. Childhood (16.10 @ Netil House)

Graduates of the University of Nottingham, Childhood’s laidback baggy and shoegaze vibes are gaining nationwide attention.

4. Public Service Broadcasting (15.35 @ Oval Space)

One of the more unique acts of the day, PSB’s mix of Second World War spoken word, inventive electronica and stunning visuals make for a great live performance.

5. Fucked Up (22.00 @ Netil House)

Not much needs to be said about these Canadian hardcore punks. They have a reputation for one of the best live shows on the circuit. Just see them.
