Thank God It’s Spotifriday #20

With the annual drive to university fast approaching, Kamiah has put together a nostalgic mix of 80s and 90s wonders that make travelling 100 odd miles with your mum almost bearable.

A song taken from the fantastic 1987 Sinead O’Connor album, The Lion and The Cobra, starts off a karaoke battle-inspiring foursome of female-fronted anthems, by the end of which you’ll be screaming along to The Cranberries. A whirl of hairspray and leather jackets takes over with Flesh for Lulu, before 80s synths peak with the Tears For Fears classic, ‘Everybody Wants to Rule the World’. The playlist gets fast and fun with a burst of Basement Jaxx and finishes up with some Abba, because every long journey needs some cheese.
