It’s December 1st; it’s practically CHRISTMAS! Celebrate by customising these cartoon cookies into your favourite festive character! They could be Rudolph, snowmen or even the man himself… the sprinkles will make the perfect beard!

Cartoon Cookies

Preparation – 20 minutes

Cooking – 15 minutes

Difficulty – Easy

Ingredients
  • readymade cookie mix (plus ingredients suggested on the packet)
  • 1 bar of dark chocolate
  • 1 pot of sprinkles
  • readymade black sugar paste
  • readymade yellow sugar paste
Method
  1. Follow the cookie mix instructions and prepare the mixture, place onto baking tray but don’t put in the oven yet.
  2. Start rolling the yellow sugar paste into small balls, then push a smaller ball of black sugar paste into the larger yellow; they should resemble eyes.
  3. Put the cookies into the oven and leave on for however long the mix instructions specify.
  4. Once baked, take out the oven and start to push the eyes into the cookies while they’re still a bit soft.
  5. Get the chocolate and put it into a bowl, place the bowl on top of a small pot of boiling water, this will melt and temper the chocolate.
  6. Once the chocolate has melted and is still on the heat, pour your sprinkles into a bowl. Now dip the cookies into the chocolate and quickly dip them again into the sprinkles bowl.
  7. Leave the cookies to set and they’re ready to eat!
