Employee threatened with knife during robbery in Nottingham Club

Police have released footage of a female employee being attacked and forced to empty the contents of the cash register in well-known Nottingham Club.

Embankment Club in Nottingham was the scene of a violent robbery that was carried out against a female employee. The robber, who was masked, left with over £9,000 obtained from the cash register of the establishment.

These scenes were captured on CCTV footage and were released by Nottinghamshire Police to the BBC show Crimewatch, that aired the video in their latest programme on the 15 December, 2015.

The footage features distressing scenes, as the unsuspecting employee is assaulted from behind by the assailant whilst cleaning tables on the morning of Sunday, 2nd August. The employee was threatened with a knife that was held to her neck.

The women was rendered impotent by the armed attack and was subsequently dragged and forced to open the cash register. The audio also captures the commands of the robber that is heard shouting for “Everything, everything, everything”.

The footage was released in a bid to generate more leads on the brutal attack, which occurred on Arkwright Street. The police detectives hope that the broadcast of this footage will lead to the culprit being apprehended.

The Nottinghamshire police have appealed to anyone that knows of the incident to contact them on 101 quoting the incident number 226 of 2 August or alternatively, Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
