With just a few days to go until one of the most anticipated days in the fashion diaries of celebrities, Impact rounds-up five of the best celebrity Halloween costumes over the years. From Heidi Klum’s iconic grandma look to Kylie’s seductive Christina Aguilera costume, we’ve certainly seen an array of outfits over the years and we’re sure that 2018 won’t disappoint.
Heidi Klum’s Old Lady
Queen of Halloween, Heidi Klum took her 2013 costume to another level when she opted for a geriatric look with the help of her Oscar-winning makeup team. Having undergone hours of prosthetic makeup, including fake veins and sagging skin, it’s no surprise Klum looked unrecognisable. The then 40-year-old model finished off the outfit with a white wig, pearls and, to top it all off, a cane.
“It’s no lie the Kardashians are game changers in the fashion world, and Halloween is no exception.”
Harrison Ford’s Drunk Nun
Harrison Ford chose a more outlandish approach to Halloween when he dressed up as an alcoholic nun in 2010. With fake glasses and wine bottles for accessories, we think he may have had to say some hail Mary’s the morning after.
Kylie Jenner as Christina Aguilera
It’s no lie the Kardashians are game changers in the fashion world, and Halloween is no exception. In the past we’ve had Kim as Marilyn Monroe and Khloe as Daenerys, but Kylie Jenner really pulled out all the stops in 2016 with a nod to Christina Aguilera’s ‘Dirrty’ look. Kylie’s 2000s throwback made a lasting impression, with Pretty Little Thing even selling similar trousers for those stoic enough for a cold bum on a night out.
Adele as Jim Carrey’s The Mask
Adele’s homage to Jim Carrey’s character in The Mask really was a highlight of Halloween 2016. The singer showed off her choice of costume on her Instagram, consisting of a polka-dot tie, braces, a suit and, of course, the legendary fedora hat. Only recognisable from the tattoo on her hand, Adele’s look managed to garner attention from the original actor himself, as Carrey comically retorted on Twitter that he was coincidently “dressed up as one of [her] roadies for Halloween.”
Lewis Hamilton as The Joker
Just hours after winning the Grand Prix in Mexico, Hamilton attended Heidi Klum’s annual Halloween bash in New York City, dressed up as Heath Ledger’s iconic Joker. The F1 driver donned a green wig and purple suit, making an uncanny resemblance to the Dark Knight character.
