Nosh News: Nottingham Food and Drink Fortnight

Saturday 13th September marked the start of the Nottingham Food and Drink Fortnight. For two weeks, the festival will be shining a spotlight on the vast range of food and drink options that Nottingham has to offer. Whether you’re in need of a new caffeine-serving second home for the year ahead, or are starting to wonder what lies beyond the numerous chain restaurants- this is your opportunity to rediscover the city on your doorstep.

And it couldn’t be easier to do so! As part of the two week long celebration, a number of food and drink locations are offering a ‘Dine for £10’ option. The list of participating venues is extensive and so we’ve created an Impact Food hit list:

Wired Café

Wired Cafe
The artisan cafe bar is offering a dish from their specials menu, a piece of cake and a tea, coffee or soft drink for £10, Monday to Friday.
This place is rumoured to serve the best coffee in Notts….we’re there!

The foodie fun doesn’t stop there, however. Lovers of street-food should check-out the Food and Drink Market, which will be held in Trinity Square on Friday 19th (11am-8pm) and Saturday 20th September (10am -6pm.)

The internationally themed event will feature stalls from Nottingham restaurants such as Yamas (Greek), Antalya (Turkish) and MemSaab (Indian), who will be giving demonstrations and offering free tasters during the two day event. The event’s organisers hope to create an outdoor, street-food market atmosphere, complete with live music and performance art; head down to cure those post-travelling blues!
