WINNER ANNOUNCED: SPORTS OFFICER – JAMES BRAMLEY

James Bramley has been announced as the new Sports Officer for 2015-16 and there was a total of 8228 votes cast.

In the initial round of counting, Yolanda King received 1646 vites, Joe Turner received 1444 votes, Aaron Watts received 803 votes and James Bramley received  4108 votes. RON received 227 votes.

In the second and final round of counting, James Bramley received 4270 votes, Joe Turner 1534, Yolanda King 1731. RON was eliminated.

During his tenure, James Bramley would like to rebrand the IMS leagues to increase transparency and develop a UoN Sport app. He also aims to collaborate with student media groups to increase coverage and exposure of both BUCS and non-BUCS events.

Speaking to Impact, James Bramley, said: “I feel flustered and tired. I couldn’t thank my campaign team any more. It’s about who my team got to vote for me and how far my campaign reached”.

Current SU Sports Officer, Kiri Madhani, said that she thought James would do “pretty well”.
