UoNSU Launches Refreshed Design

The Students’ Union (SU) has launched a refreshed design of its website and logo, following physical developments on University Park Campus.

Portland Building (home of the SU) is currently undergoing a redevelopment, with the installation of a new screen that looks across the hill being the biggest noticeable change.

According to the Students’ Union, it is part of “a £15 million investment from the University into your student experience”.

This investment includes the new outdoor terrace at Mooch, along with the performance stage and an outdoor terrace attached to Mooch. Other improvements that will be seen in relation to Portland Hill are “creating seating areas and a focal point for you to view the screen”.

The Portland Hill screen will promote the University through screenings of “Varsity, graduation ceremonies, promoting student activities, live events”, along with other plans that are yet to be announced.

The Portland redevelopment, however, is not the only change the Students’ Union is carrying out. After a competition over a new-look for the Union’s website, “with an overwhelming majority of 64% of the online vote”, the winner of the new design is route A.

The winning design reflects the Students’ Union place as the heart of the University and part of the community of Nottingham, according to the SU.
