SU announces disabled access changes to Portland amid building redevelopment

The University of Nottingham’s Students’ Union (UoNSU) has announced changes to disabled access routes to Portland today as the building continues to be redeveloped.

As students return for the final university term, the SU has revealed that there will be no disabled access to the west side of the building, including the Portland-Trent tunnel.

Students and staff are also unable to use the lift that operates centrally in the building on all floors.

Several alternative routes remain open, including the Portland Hill entrance for access to Blackwell and Natwest, and the Portland Hill road entrance, which leads to floor B.

Students can use the entrance between Mooch and Studio Live for access to the ground floor, while floors D and E in the new side of the building are accessible via the lift next to Blackwell.

The food court can be reached via the lift on the East side of Portland by Mooch.
