WINNER ANNOUNCED: INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS’ OFFICER – Aanchal Rawal

Aanchal Rawal has been elected as your new Students’ Union International Students’ Officer for 2018/19.

Anchal was declared the International Students’ Officer for the 2018/19 academic year after winning the 8th round of voting, with 385 votes.

The current Students’ Union International Officers are Hemanth Kalathuru and Loren Querickiol.

When speaking to Impact, Aanchal said that it was ‘great to win’ and that the whole experience was ‘unbelievable’. Her favourite part of campaigning was working with the others running to be International Officer, and plans to celebrate winning by ‘maybe going to Ocean.’

Aanchal is most looking forward to raising cultural awareness, and ‘making resources available in different languages.’

The biggest challenge Aanchal envisions is in ‘working and representing all International Students’, and says that she could not have completed her campaign without her two best friends.
