The fixtures for the 2016 Varsity Series between the University of Nottingham (UoN) and Nottingham Trent University (NTU) have been released, with UoN looking to secure a fifth consecutive Varsity title.
This year’s Series will be played between the 22nd April and 12th May, beginning with basketball at the Capital FM Arena, with the popular ice hockey face-off held on 5th May. Unlike last year’s event, the cricket will be held within the main Varsity period, on 1st May, as opposed to last year, where it was held after the exams period.
Rugby will be played at Lady Bay on 1st May for the Union events, while the Rugby League is the final event, on the 12th May. The football events, held at Meadow Lane last year, will be played on the 9th May.
This year, two Super Wednesday’s, with sports to be announced soon, will be run on the 27th April and the 4th May.
Tickets will go on sale on Monday 22nd February 2016 through the University of Nottingham SU website.
