Hemanth and Loren have been announced as the new International Students’ Officer.
A total of 643 people voted for this position.
Hemanth and Loren won after one round of voting, due to the position being uncontested.
The newly elected International Students’ Officers told Impact, that by running as the fictional Disney characters Jasmine and Aladdin, they hoped to create an “inclusive whole new world”.
After hearing the results, they said they were mainly feeling delighted at the outcome against their competitor “Scary R.O.N”. They admitted they were both excited as there “was so much that [they] want to do”.
“I’ll change my shoes but Ocean sounds fab!”
Finally, after being asked what their plans were to celebrate they mentioned the possibility of going to Ocean, but catching up on sleep was a very tempting possibility. Loren added that she’ll “change her shoes but Ocean sounds fab”.
