An NCT Orange Line bus and a silver Volkswagen have collided on the bridge between the Three Wheatsheaves and Faraday Road on Derby Road. Police cars, ambulances and fire engines are at the scene.
One student who was at the scene told Impact: “There were lots of firemen who were using cutters to take off the outside of the car. I also saw someone on a stretcher being put into an ambulance”.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service have said that two people have been cut free from the car.
The area remains closed off.
