Spring is round the corner, and that much-needed wardrobe clear out that we’ve all been procrastinating about, is well overdue. Here are some tips on some items you need to drop out of your SS15 wardrobe, and some items that need to be shopped to stay on trend for the upcoming season.
SHOP: FRINGE | DROP: SHEER INSERTS
Sheer inserts were all over the place last summer so no wonder that we have seen it all by now (literally and figuratively). So opt for the fringe this time around for a more playful touch to the subtle sexiness of an unexpected glimpse of bare skin.
SHOP: DRESS OVER PANTS | DROP:MOM JEANS
Kate and Ashley Olsen have long ago proven that they have serious fashion savyness so it comes as no surprise that the SS15 collection of The Row is a dream come true. Amongst clean cuts and colours it also featured the dress over pants trend that is slowly establishing itself. It is not just super easy to pull off but also the way to wear those dresses that either too sheer, too boring or too fancy for everyday. And if we are being really honest… mom jeans never flattered anyone…
SHOP: CHOKER | DROP: ONE STATEMENT EARRING
The problem with the one statement earring is that it is difficult to pull off without looking as if you have lost the matching one. So it might just be easier (and more fashionable) to stick to statement necklaces. Chokers have made a massive comeback – it was about time – either on its own or layered with other necklaces this trend is bound to make any outfit look more vogue instantly.
SHOP: LAYERS | DROP: TWO PIECE CO-ORD WITH CROPPED TOP
I love a good cropped top, and I love a good co-ord but the marriage of the two just doesn’t work for me. I will stick with this season’s favourite styling trend: layering. Cropped tops, Cardigans, culottes, scarves… instant style and comfort!
SHOP: STRIPES | DROP: CAMEL
As beautiful as camel is, it’s time to put it away and get your stripes out. I’m not just talking classic horizontal stripes; I mean stripes of all sizes, colours and directions with all the bells and whistles you could ever imagine, to give a new twist to an old look.
SHOP: WIDE LEG TROUSERS | DROP: A LINE SKIRTS
Last season we saw things getting a lot more feminine with skirts similar to this one floating around, the femininity continues but now were going to beautiful flowy wide leg trouser. They’re coming in all colours and prints, so this trend can be worn for any occasion. Plus they are super comfy!
