Yes, you read that right. Varsity is back. Well, not quite. Because our hockey teams are doing amazingly well in various competitions, the only suitable time to hold the hockey Varsity matches is this Thursday, 31st January.
What do you need to know?
The matches will be held at Beeston Hockey Club as usual, with the Water Based Pitch being the confirmed pitch. The Ladies Match will start at 6pm with the Men’s Match commencing at 8pm. Tickets are £3 on the door and it is looking at the moment to be cash only, however, card payments are being investigated, so keep an eye on our social media feeds for any updates. There will be bag searches on the door, but alcohol can be purchased from the bars at the event. The trophy presentation will take place on the pitch after the matches have finished.
Whilst it’s not the usual warm weather fixture around the Easter break, with all the teams being so successful this season it’s going to be a fixture not to miss! Get yourselves down to the hockey club to support the Green and Gold, and how great will it be to start the Varsity series one point up?
